Dental check-ups for children

Healthy children's teeth from the very beginning.

Dental check-ups for children at a glance

Dental care for children includes regular dental examinations, monitoring of tooth development, and individual advice on oral hygiene and nutrition. Depending on age and caries risk, additional measures such as fluoridation or fissure sealing may be useful. This way, problems can be detected and treated at an early stage.

Our approach at OMO.DENT

We want children to experience visiting the dentist as something positive right from the start. That is why we value a child-friendly, sensitive examination and explain every step in an understandable way. Together with the parents, we develop a suitable prevention strategy so that teeth and gums stay healthy and children feel safe at the dentist.

Frequently asked questions

Dental check-ups should begin in early childhood. Early examinations help to monitor tooth development, assess the risk of decay and advise parents on oral hygiene and nutrition at an early stage.
Regular brushing with a suitable fluoride toothpaste, a tooth-friendly diet and regular check-ups are important building blocks of caries prevention. Depending on age and individual caries risk, fluoride varnish or other preventive measures may also be useful.
In fissure sealing, deep grooves and pits on the chewing surfaces of certain back teeth are sealed with a special resin. This means fewer bacteria and food residues can settle there. For children with permanent molars that are particularly prone to decay, this usually painless measure can be useful.
